Your favorite silly old Pooh bear is now a soft, organic Pooh bear

The Winnie the Pooh movie hitting theaters today promises to be a sweet mix of old and new, combining classic Pooh animation with a few new voices– like Craig Ferguson as Owl. The overall idea is to charm Pooh fans of all ages with a timeless (and mercifully two-dimensional) animated trip to the Hundred Acre Wood. And we love it.
So it makes sense that miYim’s new line of organic Pooh stuffed animals would have the same appeal, mixing classic style and sentiment with an eco-conscious flair.
miYim is one of the very first companies we ever found that was producing organic stuffed animals, and now their collaboration with Disney is a great step in the green movement. The star of the line is a gigantic 30″ tall Winnie the Pooh with lovely embroidered details and velvety soft plush. You can also snuggle 11″ tall versions of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore in 100% organic cotton with eco-friendly dyes and springy, recycled fiber stuffing.
Of course, the most important thing is how huggably soft they are. And I love the soft, muted colors, too. The smaller dolls even have a soothing, almost zen-like rattle, which is why my son calls his new best friend “Tinkle Pooh.”
Um, no comment, mainly because I was told to take it easy on the “organic Pooh” jokes here.~Delilah
As of 2023, this line has been discontinued. Try searching eBay or other resellers for “MiYim Winnie the Pooh” and see if you can find one.

I never thought twice about diapering my son with the eco-not-so-conscious disposable diaper. I have to admit, I thought that cloth diapers were still big cotton towels that required safety pins, manual dexterity, and a whole lot of free time.
Don’t get any sick ideas, dear readers. We’ve all seen our share of those softies and we certainly don’t need a stuffed one of THOSE laying around the house.
When my 3 year old was a newborn we planned a trip to Europe and before I could say auf viedersehn, my brain pictured all the filthy traveling potties we would encounter while changing her diaper.
