THE Fall Handbag
Recently a friend asked me for advice on THE handbag for this coming season. I’m the wrong person to ask. Not because I don’t know what the magazines say is THE handbag for fall. But because there are so many fantastic bags that haven’t been deemed THE bag by a fashion editor who, by the way, gets her $6500 THE bag for free. For example, I’m loving the awesome limited edition handmade bags from Singaporean designer Linda Lye’s at her online emporium, Little Odd Forest. the Wooden Handled Forest Bag combines geometric fabrics in fantastic Autumn tones with the elegance of natural wood handles. And? Embroidered trees. How perfectly fall. And at just $45, you can own the bag, and still afford THE shoes and THE earrings of the season. –Liz

I never thought twice about diapering my son with the eco-not-so-conscious disposable diaper. I have to admit, I thought that cloth diapers were still big cotton towels that required safety pins, manual dexterity, and a whole lot of free time.
Don’t get any sick ideas, dear readers. We’ve all seen our share of those softies and we certainly don’t need a stuffed one of THOSE laying around the house.
When my 3 year old was a newborn we planned a trip to Europe and before I could say auf viedersehn, my brain pictured all the filthy traveling potties we would encounter while changing her diaper.
