Oh, mon coeur! Ocechou does adorable right
As much as I like modern design, I still want to see a heavy dose of adorable in a baby’s room. Thankfully, Switzerland’s Nicole of Ocechou does adorable right–not by using the same old licensed characters or doe-eyed puppies, but with sweet, original illustrations of happy creatures, from elefants to monstres.
I got to practice my freshman-level French skills going through the site although you’ll find English translations
on most pages. Even with limited French, you’ll want to click on everything since there is adorable everywhere. Using soft, muted colors, her children’s French ABC poster still really pops. And I love the Yeti and eskimo holiday greeting cards and the monster pocket mirror which would make a great stocking stuffer.
Although prices are listed in both Swiss Francs and Euros, Ocechou is happy to ship internationally. My math-deficient brain was relieved to learn that Swiss Francs are similar in value to US dollars, so keeping track of your spending won’t be too taxing on my–I mean your brain. -Christina
Shop Ocechou for baby room decor, kids’ accessories and cards. New plush dolls will be added soon. Order by December 13 for Christmas delivery.
I never thought twice about diapering my son with the eco-not-so-conscious disposable diaper. I have to admit, I thought that cloth diapers were still big cotton towels that required safety pins, manual dexterity, and a whole lot of free time.
Don’t get any sick ideas, dear readers. We’ve all seen our share of those softies and we certainly don’t need a stuffed one of THOSE laying around the house.
When my 3 year old was a newborn we planned a trip to Europe and before I could say auf viedersehn, my brain pictured all the filthy traveling potties we would encounter while changing her diaper.
