J’aime l’alphabet
I am utterly taken with the limited edition French alphabet print from Barcelona-born artist Silvia Portella, just introduced at L’Affiche Moderne. And not just because it’s refreshing to see a bee under A instead of B, but because the 26 charming illustrations make me smile every time I look at them.
Looking around the web, it seems Silvia also has a lovely selection of nursery art and decor through her etsy shop, Bukubuku, including sweet little Pepito shown here at right.
You can even have it customized with your own baby’s name – unless he just so happens to be named Pepito.
Yes, sometimes you just have to cross the Atlantic to find the kids’ room decor of your dreams. Good thing we can do it from the comfort of our couches. –Liz

I never thought twice about diapering my son with the eco-not-so-conscious disposable diaper. I have to admit, I thought that cloth diapers were still big cotton towels that required safety pins, manual dexterity, and a whole lot of free time.
Don’t get any sick ideas, dear readers. We’ve all seen our share of those softies and we certainly don’t need a stuffed one of THOSE laying around the house.
When my 3 year old was a newborn we planned a trip to Europe and before I could say auf viedersehn, my brain pictured all the filthy traveling potties we would encounter while changing her diaper.
