Blurb about the Mahna Mahna…. – Kristen

It’s too hard to choose so, in the spirit of the Muppets, I’m going random. Before My Big Fat Greek Wedding this clip of Miss Piggy—obviously my favorite muppet—singing “Never on a Sunday” was among the first times I saw my culture represented on TV. (Ha!) Breaking plates. Screaming, “Baklava!” It’s too good. Plus, one of my other favorite muppets, Animal, makes an appearance at the end. – Stacie

I’ve always enjoyed Statler and Waldorf’s dry humor. The cranky duo in the balcony seats were probably my introduction to sarcasm! This clip with Milton Berle proves there’s nothing like some good old fashioned heckling, especially from a pair of Muppets. – PJ

(the above photo is from the real clip, but it is SO hard to get a good shot of the chickens, so below is an alternative photo — slightly better– from a different Gonzo chicken clip – where the background is blue.)

I find Gonzo annoying (don’t hate me!) but those chickens of his are a scream. I love when they “sing,” but my favorite act of theirs has to be when four of them team up on the piano. Bonus: Statler and Waldorf offer constructive criticism! – Julie

My favorite is “Sing a Song” with Lena Hornebecause my dad used to sing at the top of his lungs every time. Best memories of being a kid were watching Muppet Show with my entire family…and singing. – Lisa

My favorite Muppet Show clip is “Meatballs” by the Swedish Chef. My parents told me I was part Swedish, and my mother frequently made delicious Swedish meatballs, so it is apt that I got a kick out of the Chef’s antics and used my heritage as license to be a little goofy. Uff da!
– Kari

The Muppet Show was one of the most important times of the week in my house. My sister and I would race up to my parents bedroom and fight over my Dad’s side of the bed as that was closer to the tiny TV. ‘Pigs in Space’ was a family favorite as our Dad was a big Trekkie. – Stephanie M
I never thought twice about diapering my son with the eco-not-so-conscious disposable diaper. I have to admit, I thought that cloth diapers were still big cotton towels that required safety pins, manual dexterity, and a whole lot of free time.
Don’t get any sick ideas, dear readers. We’ve all seen our share of those softies and we certainly don’t need a stuffed one of THOSE laying around the house.
When my 3 year old was a newborn we planned a trip to Europe and before I could say auf viedersehn, my brain pictured all the filthy traveling potties we would encounter while changing her diaper.
