New York Fashion Week 2017 was way more than Jim Carrey. In fact, it was the first time my baby walked (okay, wobbled!) a runway at Society Week’s show for Eye Candy Couture. Not only was it the ultimate in cuteness, but I am obsessed with the designs from the new Eye Candy Couture brand and I can’t wait to share them with you!

Some of us love our sweatpants. Okay, some of us actually live in our sweatpants. Imagine your kids could wear the same sweatpants on the couch that they could wear at school that they could wear at a party. That’s Eye Candy Couture. It’s comfortable clothing with original designs that’s all about the bling, baby. For kids or adults. Boys or girls. Young or young-at-heart.

Eye Candy Couture Fashion Sunglasses

The staple design of the Eye Candy Couture brand is actually sunglasses. But let me tell you, these are not your average sunglasses. Hand-painted and adorned with Swarovski crystals, these sunglasses are showstoppers. Literally. You will be stopped and asked where you found them. Of course there are more Eye Candy Couture items, like the blinged-out belts, ties, bags, and headbands with cat ears that are actually working headphones in disguise. Oh, and super adorable! Eye Candy Couture is the fashion baby of designer Sherri Carter who attributes the recent success of the brand to her collaborators, Susanna Barrett Paliotta (#BBTCNation), and artist Frank Reda (#RedaDecoDesigns).

It’s no secret that my daughter models for Eye Candy Couture. Conveniently the Eye Candy Couture designer, Sherri Carter, happens to be family. But lucky for you, you don’t have to be family to model for the brand. Eye Candy Couture shows across the country and is always on the lookout for extraordinary kids to show off the brand. For us, the runway and photo events for Eye Candy Couture are great ways to get together with our friends outside of school who share common interests. Do I expect my daughter to become a career model? Um, not so much. But for now, she’s learning self-confidence and having tons of fun. So as a mom, those things make me happy. That, and a fancy new pair of sweatpants.
