4 awesome podcasts by women of color you’re gonna want in your earbuds, STAT.
We love to amplify the voices of deserving women (it’s kinda the whole reason Kristen + Liz started CMP), so for Black History Month, we’re serving up our favorite podcasts from women of color. And trust me, you want to download all of these, ASAP.
Whether you want to get more woke, advance your career, or just laugh till you’re crying (seriously, it’s happened to me), these amazing women have you covered. Here’s where to start.

Two Dope Queens
This podcast will have you waking up the neighbors with your uncontrollable cackling. Seriously, I don’t use the word riotous often, but it’s totally warranted here. SNL’s Jessica Williams and comedian Phoebe Robinson talk about dating, race, friendship, and culture on their live podcast while giving a platform to other female comedians–yay! And hey, they just got picked up by HBO, so check them out there too.
Listen if: You want to feel like you’re at a girls’ night out with your most side-splitting friends.

Wanna Be
I’m all about self-help podcasts that are super fun to listen to. Enter Wanna Be (previously Melanin Millennial), a goal-setting podcast that lets listeners pose their career questions to Imrie, the host and CEO of ShoutOut Podcast network (i.e., someone you definitely should trust for business advice). Plus, it fun and quick-moving so even though it’s about work, it never feels that way.
Listen if: You want help achieving your goals.

Still Processing
Listening to NYT culture writers Jenna Wortham and Wesley Morris is like having a beer with your smartest friends while they chat about the news of the day. From 2004’s Nipplegate and what it means that Justin Timberlake took the Super Bowl stage again this year (without Janet), to Ed Sheeran being left out the nominations for album of the year, they’ll make you smarter and more aware.
Listen if: You like brilliant, funny cultural commentary.

Sooo Many White Guys
White guys, it’s not you. It’s just that we’ve heard so much of your voices over the past, well, forever. So Pheobe Robinson (yes, the same one from 2 Dope Queens; I love her, and I won’t apologize) started a podcast interviewing everyone but white guys. And with her amazing line-up, you won’t miss them at all.
Listen if: You love honest, freewheeling talks from diverse men and women who run the world.
I never thought twice about diapering my son with the eco-not-so-conscious disposable diaper. I have to admit, I thought that cloth diapers were still big cotton towels that required safety pins, manual dexterity, and a whole lot of free time.
Don’t get any sick ideas, dear readers. We’ve all seen our share of those softies and we certainly don’t need a stuffed one of THOSE laying around the house.
When my 3 year old was a newborn we planned a trip to Europe and before I could say auf viedersehn, my brain pictured all the filthy traveling potties we would encounter while changing her diaper.
