Meet (and possibly chew on) Reba the Wooden Reindeer
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen. But do you know Reba? You should. She’s a great gift for the little person in your life who likes handmade wooden toys on wheels.
Reba the Wooden Reindeer comes to you from Imagination Kids, a mom-and-pop Etsy shop that pays careful attention to child-safe materials, and sustainably harvested wood. She’s about 5.5 by 8 inches and painted in non-toxic paint, just in case she ends up on the business end of a gnawing baby. The only caveat? You need to order by December 9 (that’s tomorrow!) to ensure delivery by Christmas.
If you’re up to your armpits in reindeer, you might check out some of the truly original wooden toys in their shop, including a volcano stacker, an okapi, and a honey badger, among the more usual rainbow stackers and forest creatures.

I never thought twice about diapering my son with the eco-not-so-conscious disposable diaper. I have to admit, I thought that cloth diapers were still big cotton towels that required safety pins, manual dexterity, and a whole lot of free time.
Don’t get any sick ideas, dear readers. We’ve all seen our share of those softies and we certainly don’t need a stuffed one of THOSE laying around the house.
When my 3 year old was a newborn we planned a trip to Europe and before I could say auf viedersehn, my brain pictured all the filthy traveling potties we would encounter while changing her diaper.
