One of these things is not like another
I’m definitely a devotee of handmade, one-of-a-kind jewelry. And some of my favorite pieces are the ones that can’t be replicated at all, because the form comes from the imperfect shape of the stone, like a geode or a swath of quartz. So I love this San Francisco Etsy artist who features beautiful, affordable pieces that do justice to that very style.
The limited edition jewelry of Frieda Sophie is treat to browse. Just a quick look, and I’m drooling over pieces like the vanilla agate druzy necklace (above) which would go with pretty much anything I own in any season, and the geometric pyrite bracelet (below) that I bet you can dress up or down in a snap.

The prices are remarkably reasonable, with plenty under $50. So much so, I’m already planning outfits around that vanilla necklace in my head. –Liz

I never thought twice about diapering my son with the eco-not-so-conscious disposable diaper. I have to admit, I thought that cloth diapers were still big cotton towels that required safety pins, manual dexterity, and a whole lot of free time.
Don’t get any sick ideas, dear readers. We’ve all seen our share of those softies and we certainly don’t need a stuffed one of THOSE laying around the house.
When my 3 year old was a newborn we planned a trip to Europe and before I could say auf viedersehn, my brain pictured all the filthy traveling potties we would encounter while changing her diaper.
